A boat cruise lasting two hours will take you to the most beautiful, atmospheric and enchantingly illuminated places in Amsterdam.

The meeting point for the Dinner Cruise on Tuesday June 23rd is the "Rederij Lovers", which is located just in front of the Central Station of Amsterdam. The map, opposite, shows the meeting point in relation to the Central Station (click to enlarge).

Ask your hotel for the fastest way to Central Station. All tram lines from the major squares have as a final destination Central Station and if you are going by foot then check for the signs to Central Station – you will find them on all major junctions/squares in the centre of Amsterdam.

If you are coming by car then there is paid underground parking just underneath the meeting point. The name of the parking place is "P1 Amsterdam Centraal" and the address is "Prins Hendrikkade 20a".

Please be at the meeting point by 20:00. The boat will leave at 20:15 and if you are late there will be no possibility of joining later.

The event will take place at the Cultural Centre of the Free University of Amsterdam, which is within easy reach by public transport. The address is:

• Many hotels offer a free shuttle service from the airport to the hotel so check with your hotel
• From the airport there is also a very good train connection to Amsterdam, taking approximately 15 minutes – just follow the train signs in the arrival hall
• Outside the arrival hall is a taxi stand – a taxi ride to the centre of Amsterdam costs approximately €40 euros

Another option is to take the train from the airport in the direction of "Amsterdam Zuid WTC"

• Get off at Station "Amsterdam Zuid WTC"
• Take the tram line 51 or line 5 direction "Westwijk"
• Get off at stop "Uilenstede" and see Walking directions from Uilenstede to the Culture Center Griffioen (below)
• Total travel time approximately 30 minutes

• Ask your hotel for walking directions to "Waterloo Square"
• From "Waterloo square", take tram line 51 in the direction of "Westwijk"
• Get off at stop "Uilenstede" and see Walking directions from Uilenstede to the Culture Center Griffioen (below)
• Travel time is around 30 minutes

• From the square in front of Central Station take tram line 51 direction "Westwijk"
• Get off at stop "Uilenstede" and see Walking directions from Uilenstede to the Culture Center Griffioen (below)
• Travel time is around 30 minutes

• Take exit s-108 and follow the signs "Amstelveen"
• Keep following this road until you pass the VU hospital (new building crossing the road) and go left at the traffic lights (De Boelelaan)
• At the Buitenvelderstelaan (wide road with a tram line in the middle) go right
• Keep following this road and you will see signs to "Uilenstede"
• Follow these signs
• There are enough parking places near the conference location and parking is free

• Take exit 4 (Oudekerk/Amstelveen Oost)
• Follow the signs "Ouderkerk" and turn left at the traffic lights
• Turn right after the second set of traffic lights
• Keep following this road until you will see the signs "Uilenstede"
• Follow these signs
• There are enough parking places near the conference location and parking is free

• When leaving Uilenstede tram station go left at the bottom of the stairs
• Follow the signs "Cultuurcentrum VU Griffioen"
